SURKHET: Gyanendra Shahi, Chief Whip of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Member of the House of Representatives from Jumla, has stated that Karnali is falling behind as its potential has not been recognized.

MP Shahi stated at a program in Surkhet that no matter how much we debate making Karnali, we will remain dependent on Karnali until we know Karnali.

Many leaders in Karnali have given many assurances at various times, but their implementation has not been possible, according to MP Shahi. ‘If someone tells a lie, the police will file a case and take action,’ he said. But the more lies a politician tells, the more votes he gets; why is it that the big speech about one house, one job was heard on this platform, but I’m still looking for it today?

Similarly, he added the case of Karnali being behind in development and said, ‘The Karnali river flowing in our Karnali goes to India and gets mixed with the Ganges to becomes holy water. The inscription on the stone shell of the Kali Gandaki. He travels to India and takes on the form of God. But if there is a shining diamond in Karnali, those who call themselves educated in Karnali say it is a shining stone, not a diamond. But if there is a shiny stone in any other place, it is brought to Karnali, it is not a stone sir, it is a diamond, it is worshiped as a diamond. Due to this kind of work, Karnali is lagging behind.’
