KATHMANDU: Arun Chaudhary, elected from Kailali Representative Assembly Constituency No. 2, will be released from the Kailali District Jail today.

Chaudhary, who was recently imprisoned after being convicted in the year 2070 in the incident of 2066, is about to be released after President Bidya Devi Bhandari commuted his prison sentence on the occasion of Democracy Day.

After completing the necessary procedures from the district administration office after 10 a.m., the jail administration has planned to release them. Seven people in the district jail have requested pardons, but only four have been granted.

Kailali District Court on 2070 Baisakh 9 (22 April, 2013) for burning a tractor on 2066 Bhadra 3 (19 August, 2009) has decided against three people including Arun Chaudhary to six months imprisonment and to provide 818,423 rupees to the victims.

Chaudhary was arrested by the police on the 19th for not paying the six-month imprisonment.
