KATHMANDU: Only 17 office bearers nominated around 100 candidates at the National Congress of the All Nepal National Independent Student Union (ANNFSU), a CPN UML affiliated student organization.
More than 300 people applied for the 199-member central committee, which includes 17 officers, including the chair, vice-chair, general secretary, and secretary.
Five people have been nominated for the post of Chair of ANNFSU, and five people have been nominated for General Secretary.
RC Lamichhane, Moti BK, Lokesh Niroula, Wangchu Yonjan, and Samik Badal have all been nominated for the post of chairperson.
The election committee announced the final list of candidates on Thursday morning.
