Preparing to transport Chandra Bhandari’s mother & son to Mumbai, Prez Deuba reached Kirtipur Hospital

KATHMANDU: Preparations have been made to transport MP Chandra Bhandari, who was injured in the fire caused by a gas explode, to Mumbai for further treatment.

As Bhandari’s medical condition at Kirtipur Hospital is complicated, doctors have advised that they be transferred to a well-equipped hospital outside of Nepal for further treatment.

Personal Secretary Bhuwan Bhusal informed that plans are being made to fly Bhandari to Mumbai on a chartered Shree Airlines flight.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has reached at Kirtipur Hospital to learn more about the health of Bhandari’s mother and son. He reached at the hospital not long ago.

Top Congress leaders have been admitted to Kirtipur Hospital since the morning. Senior leaders Ram Chandra Paudel, Gagan Kumar Thapa, Shekhar Koirala, NP Saud, Pradeep Paudel, Lumbini State Chair Amar Singh Pun, and other leaders have arrived at the hospital.

The hospital reported that 30 percent of Bhandari’s body was burned, including both hands and both legs.

The majority of the mother’s body has been burned. General Minister Bishwa Prakash Sharma had reached at the hospital earlier in the night.
