Situation of MP Bhandari & his mother complicated
Doctors have advised to be transferred to a well-equipped hospital outside of Nepal for further treatment.
KATHMANDU: The health of Congress leader and MP Chandra Bhandari, who was injured when a cooking LP gas cylinder burst, has deteriorated.
The situation has become complicated, according to a statement issued by Kirtipur Hospital this morning.
As Bhandari’s health is complicated, doctors have advised to be transferred to a well-equipped hospital outside of Nepal for further treatment. “As it appears that their proper treatment in Nepal will be difficult with the current resources and means, it is recommended that they be transferred to a well-equipped health institution outside the country as soon as possible,” according to the statement.
Bhandari’s mother and he were injured when a cylinder exploded at their house in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu at 10:30 pm on Wednesday.
Doctors estimated that 25% of MP Bhandari’s body was burned and 70% of his mother’s body was burned.
According to the hospital, both’s tracheas may have been burned as a result of hot air and smoke.
