KATHMANDU: Congress leader and MP Chandra Bhandari was injured when a cooking gas cylinder exploded.
His 86-year-old mother and the Bhandari were hurt when a gas cylinder exploded while they were cooking at their Buddhanagar home.
Both were rushed to Kirtipur Burn Hospital for treatment. According to the hospital doctors, burns have affected approximately 25% of Dr. Bhandari’s body and approximately 70% of his mother’s body.
Congress General Minister Bishwa Prakash Sharma reached the burn center in Kirtipur last night and inquired about Bhandari’s health condition. Nepali Congress leader, MP Chandra Bhandari and his 86-year-old mother are being treated at the Kirtipur hospital, seriously injured by the gas cylinder explosion. I just came back from the hospital. I am praying to God for the speedy recovery of mother Mamatamayi and respected Chandra’, Congress General Minister Sharma wrote on social media.
Only on Wednesday, Bhandari spoke out in favor of the people, claiming that the mafia is planning to destroy the country during the House of Representatives’ special session. Bhandari was elected to the House of Representatives from Gulmi 1.
