People’s War Day celebrated at Paris Danda (photos included)

KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN-Maoist Centre has celebrated People’s War Day.

The Maoists marked the occasion with a special program at the party’s central office in Paris Danda.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal attended the ‘Prachanda’ program and placed wreaths on the martyrs’ photographs.

People’s War Day commemorates the day in 2052 when the then-CPN-Maoist launched an armed campaign.

This year, the government declared People’s War Day a public holiday. However, this decision has also been criticized.
