Geta Medical College to be developed as Nepal’s first health university
Prime Minister Prachanda announced that the government will establish Geta Medical College as Nepal's first Shahid Dashrath Chand Secondary School.
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has promised that Geta Medical College will be developed as Nepal’s first health university.
Prime Minister Prachanda made the remarks while speaking with a group of Sudurpaschim State people’s representatives and subject experts who had come to meet with the Prime Minister to discuss the operation of Geta Medical College.
Prime Minister Prachanda announced that the government will establish Geta Medical College as Nepal’s first Shahid Dashrath Chand Secondary School.
‘This is a matter of great pride and joy for the Sudurpaschim and the whole of Nepal,’ said Prachanda. ‘
Prime Minister Prachanda has also stated that he will make additional announcements about the operation of this college and university during his visit to Kailali and Kanchanpur in Sudurpaschim on Monday (tomorrow).
At a cost of Rs 5 billion, 28 modern buildings for a 600-bed hospital and medical college were built in Geta, Kailali. The operation, however, has not yet been completed.
