5th International Agritech Expo begins in Chitwan (with pictures)

BHARATPUR: The 5th Nepal Agritech International Exhibition opened on Friday at the Chitwan Exhibition Center.
During a program, Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Jwala Kumari Shah officially inaugurated the Expo.
The Expo was launched as a collaboration between Media Space Solutions Pvt Ltd and Futurex Trade Fair and Events Pvt Ltd.
While attending the exhibition, Minister Sah stated that agriculture-related exhibitions will be very important in Nepal, as agriculture dominates the country’s economy.
She stated that such technological exhibitions have played an important role in transitioning farmers involved in large-scale commercial agriculture from traditional agricultural systems to scientific agricultural systems.
She visited the majority of the agriculture-related stalls at the exhibition and obtained information about agricultural equipment from the relevant stakeholders.
On the same occasion, Madhesh State Minister of Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives Basanta Kushwaha, Consul General Nitesh Kumar of the Indian Consulate in Birgunj, Assistant Director of ISOCHAM Manank Sharma, and others said that the exhibition was very fruitful because it could capture the spirit and feelings of real farmers.
Meanwhile, after viewing the exhibition, the Chitwan Industry Association hosted a discussion program on agricultural entrepreneurship with Minister Sah.
Various associations, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Department of Agriculture, Department of Animal Services, National Milk Development Board, Nepal Municipality Association, Rural Municipality National Federation of Nepal, National Farmers Group Federation, Nepal Agricultural Cooperative Central Union Limited, Nepal Poultry Federation, Nepal Agricultural Machinery Businessmen Association, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Chitwan Udyog Sangh, and others, will be present at the exhibition.
The exhibition will be on display until Feb 12.
