Economy reached a critical juncture, serious steps must be taken to improve it: President

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has stated that the economy has reached a critical juncture and that immediate action is required to improve it.

She made the remarks while speaking at today’s joint meeting of both Houses of the Federal Parliament at Parliament House New Baneshwor.

Despite recent signs of improvement in economic indicators, she believes that its sustainability is required.

She stated that both internal and external factors are to blame for Nepal’s economic problems.

She stated that the world economy’s ups and downs, as well as problems such as the COVID epidemic, have complicated the economy.

She stated that as we lack the ability to avoid such issues by providing reasons, we should take steps to improve them.
