KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition’s high-level political mechanism is meeting at Baluwatar, the Prime Minister’s official residence.

The alliance consists of seven parties. However, only the leaders of four parties are present at the meeting.

Prime Minister Dahal, UML President Oli, Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Rajendra Lingden are participating in the meeting.

Top leaders of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), Nagarik Unmukti Party and Janamat Party were not present at the meeting.

JSP Chair Upendra Yadav is currently in Janakpur, while Nagarik Unmukti Chair Ranjita Shrestha Chaudhury has reached Dillibazar Jail while the committee’s meeting is going on.

She is there to meet with Resham Chaudhary. According to the party’s leader, CK Raut, the chairman of Janamat, is now outside the Kathmandu Valley.

The meeting is expected to cover recent political developments, the presidential election, and other topics. There has recently been discontent within the ruling coalition.
