KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Business Group of Hospitality recently celebrated its 25th year in business.
The 25th annual festival was commemorated with a formal program at the five-star level Siddhartha International Hotel complex, which has been completed and is nearing completion in Rupandehi’s Bhairahawa.
The Chief Minister of Lumbini State, Lila Giri, stated in a program held on the occasion of the 25th annual festival that the private sector has made a significant contribution to the development of the country’s tourism sector.
Chief Minister Giri praised the private sector in this regard, stating that tourism is the main foundation of economic development. He stated that, in addition to infrastructure, the tourism sector is being prioritized.
Bal Krishna Khand, former Home Minister and central member of the Nepali Congress, stated that the Siddhartha Group has done exemplary and remarkable work in economic and tourism development.
He stated that he has always prioritized creating a favorable environment for business operations as the tourism industry has played a significant role in economic development.
Similarly, former Minister of State for Health Umesh Shrestha lauded the Siddharth Group for its significant contribution to the tourism industry.
Chintamani (Laxman) Neupane, the group’s chairperson, stated that the company’s growth from a snack shop in Tikapur on 2054 Magh 23 (5 Feb, 1998) after moving from his native Gulmi to a five-star hotel is the result of everyone’s combined efforts. As a country, he also advised us to work hard without being disappointed in the hopes of seeing results.
On the occasion of the 25th annual festival, a lucky draw will be held each month, and a hotel room will be provided to one customer in each branch at the price of 100, which was the starting price 25 years ago.
Throughout the week, some branches across the country will offer discounts of up to 25%, including free sanitation and health care in the old age home. Meals and other activities are also provided.
According to the chief executive officer of the group, Krishna Prasad Neupane, 32 companies of the Siddharth group have reached hotels, resorts and cafes, IT, agriculture, trading, hotel management academy.
According to Neupane, there are plans to operate hotels and resorts in Tamra in Jumla, Kanyam tea garden in Ilam, Dhangadhi in Kailali and Pokhara in Kaski. Currently, 1,600 people are employed in all branches of the group.
During the program, the best employees in various categories and branches from Siddharth’s hotels and restaurants across the country were awarded cash and certificates.
Employee of the Year Krishna Kumari Pun, Manager of the Year Uttam Khatri, Head of Finance Department, Head of Food and Beverage Production Mangal Dagoura, Head of Food and Beverage Services Basudev Timalsina, Head of Front Desk Prakash Bhatta, and Head of Sales and Marketing Department Nabin Bhatta are among those honored.
Similarly, View Hotel Siddhartha Nepalgunj has been awarded as the best hotel.
