KATHMANDU: Four senior armed police superintendents have been recommended for promotion to the position of Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

Suresh Kumar Shrestha, SSP, has been nominated for promotion to No. 1. In the Armed Forces, four DIG positions are vacant.
The promotion of Anjani Kumar Pokharel, Dipendra Shah, and Purushottam Thapa, in addition to Shrestha, has been recommended by Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Armed Police Narayana Datta Paudel.
