First decision of Vice-Chair of NA – to make the role of women MPs effective

KATHMANDU: Urmila Aryal, the newly elected Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, has signed the first decision to hold an interaction program to strengthen the role of women parliamentarians.

 She signed such a decision in her office of the Federal Parliament Secretariat after taking the oath.

After the opposition party Congress did not present a candidate, Aryal, who became the power coalition’s joint candidate, was unanimously elected as the Vice-Chair of the National Assembly.
