USAID chief Samantha Power arrives Nepal

KATHMANDU: Samantha Jane Power, head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has arrived in Nepal.

Power arrived in Nepal on Tuesday morning for a two-day visit.

This visit of Power is viewed with importance. It is reported that Power has a program to meet Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel and Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Paudyal.

A member of the National Security Council, Power is America’s highest cabinet-level official.

She is scheduled to return tomorrow.
