KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has announced that he will run in the by-elections.
Rabi’s MP post was revoked following the court’s decision on the citizenship issue, leaving Chitwan 2 without a representative.
The Election Commission has announced that by-elections will be held in that district once more.
Rabi thanked the voters who put him first and announced today at a press conference that he will run again from the same location.
He also stated unequivocally that he would not run for minister in the election.
