KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.
Rabi reached in Baluwatar and met with Prime Minister Dahal before the crucial meeting of the party’s central committee and parliamentary party.
Prior to that, Rabi met with CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli at his Balkot residence. Although the details of this meeting are not revealed, it is regarded as significant.
After Prime Minister Prachanda refused to give the ministry to Rabi, who is demanding a Home Minister in the government as before, the RSP meeting is going to be held today to decide whether government will stay or leave.
The Prime Minister has proposed that Rabi be assigned to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport rather than the Ministry of Home.
Rabi lost his positions as MP, Deputy Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Party President after the Supreme Court ruled that Rabi’s citizenship was not retained in the citizenship dispute case. Ravi was reinstated as party President after obtaining citizenship.
