Shakespeare’s play ‘Twelfth Night’ staged in Pathshala school
The dialogue in the drama is written in both English and Nepali. Some parts of the play have also been Nepalized by drama director Bhattarai.
KATHMANDU: The well-known writer William Shakespeare’s play ‘Twelfth Night’ has been staged in Kathmandu.
Pathshala Nepal presented the play, which lasted about an hour and ten minutes, in the theater of Pathshala School in Thapa village.
Ojaswi Bhattarai and Saurabh Neupane direct the play.
The dialogue in the drama is written in both English and Nepali. Some parts of the play have also been Nepalized by drama director Bhattarai.
The play featured 22 actors, including Asal Pudasaini, Samiran Chalise, Sadiksha Bhandari, Darshana Nepal, and Saurya Narsingh Thapa. These artists are Pathshala Nepal students from classes 8 and 9.
The play depicts a love triangle full of fantasy and laughter.
This play was written by Shakespeare in the 16th century.
The mixture of illusion and reality breaks the chain of attraction for each other in this play, which ends with love on one side and marriage on the other.
This play was also performed at the Nepal Pragya Pratishthan on the Jan 27 and 28.
According to the organizers, a show was also shown on Saturday because the audience was interested in the director’s hard work and the artist’s performance.
