500 fires in 20 days, loss of 2 billion!

KATHMANDU: It is seen that fire incidents are increasing this year.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, ten fires occur in a single day, resulting in a loss of millions.

More than 2,000 fire incidents occurred between Baisakh and Magh, according to Disaster Management Authority data.

The fire killed 75 people and injured 280 more. So far, it appears that a loss of approximately 2 billion has occurred.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, there was a loss of Rs 1 crore due to fire in the month of Magh alone. The fire killed 518 people. 28 people were injured. The accident has impacted 259 families.
