16-year-old Nepali girl being taken to India ‘for sacrifice’ rescued
The bureau held a press conference today and informed about the girl's rescue.

KATHMANDU: A 16-year-old Nepali girl who had been taken to India for sacrifice has been rescued.
On Tuesday, they were rescued from Mangal Bazar Street in Delhi, India, at the request of the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau. Following her rescue, the girl was placed in the care of a social organization.
The bureau held a press conference today and informed about the girl’s rescue. It is said that if the girl meets the Tantric and the Tantric is pleased with her, she will receive a large sum of money.
“The girl’s weight, height, marks on her body, tattoos, and menstruation were all tested before she was brought to India,” said Bureau Director Senior Superintendent of Police Jeevan Kumar Shrestha.
He claims that the girl was physically examined twice before and after being transported to India. According to the police, the girl was discovered while searching for a girl weighing 60 kg, standing at least five feet four inches tall, with no scars or tattoos on her body, no injuries on any part of her body, and no menstruation.
‘According to the preliminary investigation, the accused planned to meet the girl with the main Tantric in a few days,’ he added. They intend to sacrifice the girl child during the next full moon.’
According to director Shrestha, the girl was unaware of this. ‘We’ve been looking for the girl for two months,’ he explained. Based on information received two days ago, the girl was rescued.’
On Dec 3, the victim girl was brought from mother’s home to Kathmandu. He was imprisoned in Kathmandu until Jan 4.
The girl was taken to Pahadgunj in Delhi, India, in two days, according to police, via the Nepal-India border at Sunauli on Dec 20.
After reaching India, the girl was taken to Tantric in three different places in India on different dates.
The girl was living in her mother’s house due to the strained relationship between her mother and father. It has been revealed that the girl’s close friend and a woman were both involved in luring the girl.
Director Shrestha stated that the police have arrested six people involved in this incident and are conducting additional investigations.
According to police data, only 18 women were rescued from various countries in the month of Magh (Jan/Feb) from being trafficked and trafficked through various checkpoints in Nepal.
According to the police, 30 girls have been rescued from trafficking in the last five years.
Four hundred and forty-three people, including girls, women, children, and men, have been rescued from human trafficking.
