Son arrested on charge of murdering father

KATHMANDU: Police arrested Prakash Rai, 32, of Chandrapur Municipality-6, near Hatemalo Community Forest, on the charge of killing his own father, 55-year-old Nir Kumar Rai, with a wooden stick.

Nir Kumar, who was seriously injured after Prakash (deceased son) hit him with a wooden stick during a drunken domestic dispute, died while being treated at Chandrapur Hospital Pvt Ltd in Chandrapur.

The police are looking into the matter further.
