4 of the 6 prisoners escaped by breaking detention wall apprehended

KATHMANDU: One more prisoner has been apprehended among the six who escaped from Dhanusha’s Mahendranagar area police office by breaking the detention cell’s wall.
On Wednesday night, a team from the District Police Office Dhanusha and the Madhesh State Police apprehended Binod Kumar Sharma, 35, of Chhireshwarnath Municipality-5, an escaped prisoner of a drug case.
He was apprehended on the Rato Khola shores in Mithila Municipality-10 Lalgadh. Previously, Harideep Singh, 25, of Mithila-2, Amit Mandal, 25, of Chhireshwarnath-2, and Roshan Kumar Mahato, 25, of Mithila-6, were arrested.
According to Superintendent of Police Pradip Bahadur Chhetri, Singh was arrested on Tuesday night and Mandal on Tuesday afternoon.
Roshan was arrested by police on Monday evening in connection with an arms embezzlement case. Last Sunday night, six prisoners from various cases broke through the detention wall of the local police station.
According to the district police office, despite the arrest of four people, the search for the remaining two fugitives is ongoing.
