51-year-old man arrested on rape charge

KATHMANDU: Shankar Bahadur Chand, 51, an employee of the Samaj Kalyan Children’s Orphanage in Bhimdatta Municipality-4 Bazar, was arrested on suspicion of raping two 14-year-old girls.

Police from the District Police Office Kanchanpur detained him after receiving a complaint that Chand had been forcing the girls for the past 3/4 months.

The police are looking into the matter further.
