Orphanage director held on sexual exploitation
Chand was arrested by police after information about long-term sexual exploitation of girls was brought to their attention.
KATHMANDU: The orphanage’s chief operator in Kanchanpur has been arrested for sexually abusing girls.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Shah, the police arrested Shankar Bahadur Chand, the orphanage’s chief operator, on the charge of sexually exploiting the orphanage’s girls.
According to him, Chand was arrested by police after information about long-term sexual exploitation of girls was brought to their attention.
A complaint was lodged abusing a 14-year-old and 16-year-old girl in the orphanage.
Chand, who was arrested, is currently being detained and further investigation is underway.
