KATHMANDU: Former Law Minister Govinda Prasad Sharma has reached Koirala (Govinda Sharma “Bandi”) at the 52nd meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council held in Geneva. He led the Nepali delegation and reached Geneva, Switzerland on Monday.

Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Paudyal was scheduled to participate in this program in which the prisoner participated. However, at the last moment, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ stopped his visit.

The UML objected to the Prime Minister’s behavior saying it was wrong, and Prachanda has also left the government.

The Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations in Geneva said that he participated in the meeting as a peace and human rights advisor to the imprisoned Prime Minister.

He is scheduled to address the council’s high-level meeting.
