Prime Minister assumed control of the ministries left vacant by the resignations of CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and Rastriya Prajatantra Party ministers.
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal now oversees 16 ministries after abandoning the 7-party alliance he had formed on Dec 25 in favor of an 8-party coalition government.
The Prime Minister assumed control of the ministries left vacant by the resignations of CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and Rastriya Prajatantra Party ministers.

Other RSP ministers left the government after party president Rabi Lamichhane lost his positions as deputy prime minister and home minister due to a citizenship dispute.
Similarly, the UML and RPP left the government after Prachanda formed a new alliance in the process of selecting presidential candidates.
