POKHARA: The decision made by the RPP Central Working Committee meeting on Saturday to withdraw support from the central to state governments has not been implemented in Gandaki. RPP has remained committed to Gandaki.
Pancha Ram Gurung, RPP Gandaki Chair and Minister of Social Development and Health, stated that he would resign on Sunday, but he has changed his mind. ‘I’m consulting with some friends. ‘I will proceed in accordance with the suggestions made by all 11 districts,’ he said, adding that a discussion within the party is underway.
The RPP has two seats in Gandaki. With the assistance of the RPP, a government was formed here under the leadership of the UML. UML is in power with 22, Maoist 8 and RPP 2 seats.
