PM Prachanda cancels Foreign Minister Poudyal’s trip to Geneva
Minister Paudyal was scheduled to travel to Geneva today to attend the United Nations Human Rights Council meeting.

KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Prime Minister and Chair of the CPN Maoist Centre, has canceled Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Poudyal’s scheduled foreign visit.
Minister Paudyal was scheduled to travel to Geneva today to attend the United Nations Human Rights Council meeting.
According to Foreign Minister Paudyal, I was planning to attend the program until the morning, but Prime Minister Prachanda unexpectedly sent a message in the evening, so I did not attend.
Earlier on Sunday morning, during the preparations for the visit, Minister Poudel said that she would take initiatives to maintain the National Human Rights Commission in the A category during her visit to Geneva.
The International Network of Human Rights Organizations (GANHRI) recommended that the Human Rights Commission of Nepal be downgraded to category B.
Minister Poudel was scheduled to travel from Geneva to Doha for the fifth Conference of the Least Developed Countries. However, his visit has been canceled for today, Sunday.
Prime Minister Prachanda, on the other hand, is scheduled to travel to Qatar on Friday to attend the fifth Conference of Least Developed Countries.
