The road is going to be completely closed at night for road expansion work.
The road will be closed from midnight 12:00 to 4:00 a.m. as part of the project.
The project’s head, Narendra Subedi, informed that the section will be closed from March 2 to 11, including road cutting.
The Prithvi Highway’s Muglin Pokhara road is currently being upgraded to four lanes. The contract for the road section from Muglin to Aanbu Khaireni is still in the works.
The work has moved forward by dividing it into two sections: Aanbu Khaireni to Jamune and Jamune to Pokhara.
However, MPs are constantly raising concerns in parliament about the lack of progress. Both contracts were given to Chinese firms.
