With this service, the customer can take a maximum loan of up to Rs 2 lakh through the mobile app, without having to physically attend the bank branch and without having to go to the bank branch through the mobile app.

KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Bank has launched the NIC Asia Phone Loan service to provide loans digitally via its mobile banking (NIC Asia Mobank) app.

With this service, the customer can take a maximum loan of up to Rs 2 mIn through the mobile app, without having to physically attend the bank branch and without having to go to the bank branch through the mobile app.

Customers can obtain loans in monthly installments ranging from one to twelve months through the bank’s new service.

According to the bank, the customer will receive the service if certain conditions and criteria are met, such as having a salary savings account in the bank, making regular transactions, and having no outstanding loans in this bank.

Furthermore, the app will automatically assess the customer’s eligibility for a loan based on the criteria and determine whether or not the customer will receive the loan.

According to the bank, eligible customers will be able to apply for a loan through their mobile banking app. If they qualify for a loan, they can log in to NIC Asia’s mobile banking app, tap on the NIC Asia phone loan icon, complete the registration, and begin the loan process.

According to the bank, in order to gradually provide all banking services and facilities through digital means by implementing a ‘digital first’ strategy, this bank has recently promoted the practice of self-help banking via a mobile banking app in order to enable customers to enjoy banking services from any location, at any time.

Accordingly, the customer will be able to obtain a variety of appealing features such as account information, account statement, money transfer, internal remittance, fixed deposit opening, bank branch and ATM location, NTC/Ncell topup, utility bill payment, share application, and so on.
