KATHMANDU: KP Oli Cup 2023 Knockout Football Tournament organized by National Youth Association, a class organization of CPN-UML, has started on Thursday.
The game was inaugurated at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Thursday with famous marathon runner Baikuntha Manandhar as the chief guest.
UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, Defense Minister Hari Prasad Upreti, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol, former Speaker Subas Nemwang, National Youth Association Chair Kiran Nepal and other leaders were present at the opening ceremony.
Eight teams have participated in the tournament which is played on knockout basis.
The first match of the tournament started today with UML Chair Oli giving the ‘game ball’ to the referee.
The opening match is being played today between Nepal Police Club and Satdobato Youth Club.
