Entire nation has hope & trust in youth: PM Prachanda

Prime Minister Prachanda expressed his belief that information about the various languages, cultures, costumes and characteristics existing in the country will increase the pride of the youth towards their country.

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the entire nation has hope and trust in the youth.

Addressing the convocation of the 17th senior division training of the National Service Team held at the Military Forum in Tundikhel, Kathmandu on Thursday, Prime Minister Prachanda said that in today’s situation, disciplined and dedicated youth is the first need of every nation and the hope and trust of the entire nation is on the youth.

He said that this program, which is the highest priority of the government, aims to make the youth into cultured citizens who are dedicated to the country and respect the institutions of the state, as well as to produce trained volunteer manpower who can be mobilized in times of disaster.

Prime Minister Prachanda expressed his belief that information about the various languages, cultures, costumes and characteristics existing in the country will increase the pride of the youth towards their country and also develop more commitment in the spirit of national unity.

Prime Minister Prachanda, who is also the chief patron of the National Service Team, expressed the view that the government is serious about the need to increase the number of participants in the training in the future by increasing the current number of 7,700.

At the convocation ceremony, various kawaz and arts were presented. The National Service Team was established in the year 2022 BS with the aim of developing the personality of the youth.

This year, a total of 7,568 students, including 5,976 under the junior division and 1,728 under the senior division, have trained for the National Service Team.
