Ex-PM Khanal departs for Dhaka, participating in Human Rights Conventions

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has left for Dhaka to participate in a conference called “Situation of Human Rights in Bangladesh” which is not being organized by SAARC Human Rights Foundation.
He left for Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on a Bangladesh Airlines flight at 12.40 pm today to participate as a chief guest in the human rights conference in Dhaka.
Former Prime Minister Khanal is accompanied by his religious wife Rabi Laxmi Chitrakar, Central Member of CPN Unitfied Socialists Party Taj Muhammad Mian, Party’s Central Foreign Department Secretary Dr. Shankar Khatiwada.
The honorable leader of the CPN United Socialist Party and former Prime Minister Khanal is scheduled to speak as the chief guest at the Human Rights Conference 2023 tomorrow at the Supreme Court Complex in Dhaka.
A courtesy meeting between former Prime Minister Khanal and Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has been scheduled for tomorrow, Friday. Other high-level meetings have also been planned, according to Khanal’s secretariat.
