Manoj Bhetwal, construction contractor of Kathmandu View Tower, arrested
He was involved in a 1.5 billion fraud at the then Apex Development Bank.
KATHMANDU: Manoj Kumar Bhetwal, the contractor and owner of Kathmandu View Tower, which is being built in Kathmandu’s old Bus Park, has been arrested.
He was arrested by the team of District Police Complex Kathmandu on Wednesday for banking offences.
He was involved in a 1.5 billion fraud at the then Apex Development Bank. Bhetwal, a “A” category contractor, had previously been arrested by police.
It was discovered that Bhetwal had taken out a loan of more than 119 million rupees by mortgaging the land.
