Gattuso leaves Valencia by ‘mutual agreement’

KATHMANDU: The head coach of the Spanish club Valencia, Gennaro Gattuso, has left his position.
Gattuso left Valencia 7 months after being appointed as the head coach.
After losing 1-0 to Valladolid on Sunday, Valencia are 14th in La Liga, one point above the relegation places.
“It is clear that I am responsible for this,” Gattuso said on Sunday after the defeat.
Valencia appointed Gattuso as head coach for two years.
However, he left the post after the team continued to perform poorly in La Liga.
Valencia have suffered 8 defeats in 18 league matches. Valencia is in 14th place in the league.
It is said that the 45-year-old Italian coach left the club by mutual agreement.
