Two killed, 6 injured in a car & taxi collision in Gwarko

KATHMANDU: A car and a taxi collided at Gwarko in Lalitpur, killing two people and injuring six others.
On Sunday night, a car and a taxi collided near B&B Hospital in Gwarko, killing two of the eight people injured.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Saroj Kumar BK of Sunsari, who was in a taxi, and Dhan Bahadur Basnet of Morang, who was in a car, died during treatment at B&B Hospital.
The remaining injured are being treated for at the same hospital. The condition of the car driver, Bir Bahadur BK, 35, of Jhapa, is critical among the injured.
At 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, taxi No. Ba 2 J 3420 traveling from Gwarko to Satdobato and car No. Ba 4 Ch 1 traveling in the opposite direction collided.
The police said that the driver of the car, BK, had consumed alcohol.
