Splatters gasoline on son & wife, son dies, wife injured

KATHMANDU: A young man in Banke’s Kohalpur Municipality poured gasoline on his son and wife and set them on fire.

Bhanubhakta BK, 32, of Kohalpur-1 Shaktinagar, set fire to his wife Ganga BK and their two-year-old son Prince by sprinkling petrol on them.

Banke SP Santosh Singh Rathore informed that Prince died last night due to the fire set by his father. The minor died during treatment at 1 o’clock on Sunday night. At 1 a.m. on Sunday night, the minor died during treatment. Ganga BK has neck and back burns.

She is being treated at Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj.

Police arrested the accused while fleeing towards India.

Bhanubhakta, who had escaped by taking a bus to Delhi, was apprehended last night, according to SP Rathore.
