Itahari: Public roads & structures constructed by occupying land getting demolished
For the first time, the sub-metropolitan began demolishing buildings within the road jurisdiction on Friday.
KATHMANDU: The public roads and structures constructed by occupying land were demolished in Itahari, Sunsari on Friday (today).
The Sub-Metropolitan ran a dozer on a building on the Biratnagar line at Itahari-9 today.
Buildings within the road jurisdiction were obstructing the construction of a six-lane highway.
For the first time, the sub-metropolitan began demolishing buildings within the road jurisdiction on Friday.
A dozer started to demolish in the presence of Hem Karna Poudel, Chief of Sub-Metropolitan City, Ward Chair of Itahari-9 Jeetendra Thapa & DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of Area Police Office Itahari.
The sub-city will now regularly demolish buildings constructed by occupying public roads and land, according to city chief Poudel.
Chief Poudel was present to demolish the building with two sub-city dozers.
Poudel stated that the building was demolished after the sub-metropolitan issued a notice but received no response.
