Pedestrian dies in pickup truck hit

KATHMANDU: Anup Rai Yadav, 65, of Gadhimai Municipality-8 Irarwa, died on Thursday afternoon after being hit by a pick-up truck with the license plate P 2-03-001 Ch 3904 on the Gaur-Chapur road in Chinimill, Garuda Municipality-5.

He was critically injured in the collision and died while being treated at LS Neuro Hospital in Birgunj via Aayushman Hospital in Jhajpul.

The pickup truck and its driver have been arrested, and the police are continuing their investigation.
