Real Madrid beat Atletico, advanced to semi-finals

KATHMANDU: Real Madrid advanced to the Copa del Rey semi-finals after defeating Atletico Madrid 3-1 in extra time on Thursday.
Rodrygo equalized after Atletico took the lead through Alvaro Morata’s goal. Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior then scored one goal each in extra time.
Prior to that, Athletico Bilbao defeated Valencia 3-1 in the previous match to advance to the last four.
The other two teams that will make the semi-finals are Barcelona and Osasuna. The semi-final draw will now take place on Monday.
