In Pics: Demonstration at Maitighar in support of just demands of Prem Prasad Acharya

KATHMANDU: A demonstration was held in Maitighar on Wednesday in support of Prem Prasad Acharya’s legitimate demands, after he immolated himself on the road in front of the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor on Tuesday.

Various organizations and campaigners supported Late Acharya’s legitimate demands by displaying anti-government placards today.

Protesters gathered in Maitighar and marched to New Baneshwor.

Ilam’s Acharya committed self-immolation by setting fire to his body on the road in New Baneshwor on Tuesday, according to a lengthy Facebook status.

Acharya died on Wednesday morning during treatment at Kirtipur Burn Hospital.
