There is a possibility of light snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Sudurpaschim State, Karnali State, Gandaki State and Bagmati State.
KATHMANDU: After the influence of western low pressure system in the western part of Nepal, rain has started from western Nepal. Due to the effect of which there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in some parts of the country today.
According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, in the morning there is partial to normal rain in Sudurpaschim State, Karnali State, Lumbini State and Gandaki State. In the rest of the places, the weather is generally clear with partial change.
The department said that in the afternoon, there will be partial to normal rain over Sudurpaschim State, Karnali State, Lumbini State, Gandaki State and Bagmati State. It is reported that the weather will be generally clear in other States.
There is a possibility of light rain in few parts of Sudurpaschim State, Karnali State, Lumbini State and Gandaki State. There is a possibility of light snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Sudurpaschim State, Karnali State, Gandaki State and Bagmati State.
At night there will be partial to normal rain over Lumbini State, Gandaki State, Bagmati State, Madhesh State and State 1. In other States, the weather will be partly cloudy and generally clear. There is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of the country.
As there is a possibility of rain in four States and there is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in some places of high hilly and Himalayan areas of three Statees, the department requests to take necessary precautions.
