DHANGADHI: The 5.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Bajura in western Nepal at 2:43 p.m. on Tuesday destroyed buildings and houses.

Surya Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office Bajura, stated that information had been received that some houses had been destroyed in Badimalika Municipality-7 and 8 of Bajura.

He stated that the extent of the damage could not be determined and that the police had arrived on the scene. Bajhang has also suffered damage.
According to the police, the Krishi Gyan Kendra building, which is used by the armed police at the Chainpur headquarters, has been destroyed.
Similarly, some of the market’s older homes have been damaged.
