Akshaya Kosh establishment of 10 million in memory of journalist Tribhuvan Poudel
The Gandaki State Committee of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists founded Akshaya Kosh.
KATHMANDU: Akshaya Kosh of 10 million has been established in memory of the late journalist Tribhuvan Poudel.
The Gandaki State Committee of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists founded Akshaya Kosh. Poudel was also the first chair of the Gandaki Federation.
The meeting was presided over by Soni Sharma, the executive chairperson, who immediately established Akshaya Kosh by retaining 5 million. The remaining Rs 5 million will be collected from district branches and well-wishers.
Secretary General Govinda Subedi announced that the ‘Founding Chair Tribhuvan Poudel Commemorative Journalism Award’ will be given annually in Poudel’s memory by Akshaya Kosh.
Seventy-two people including Poudel died when a plane of Yeti Airlines, which was coming from Kathmandu to Pokhara, crashed in Pokhara on Magh 1 (Feb 15).
