Prachanda-Ghimire met in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: A meeting was held between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire this morning.

The Secretariat of the Prime Minister has informed that various current issues are being discussed in the ongoing meeting at the Prime Minister’s Residence Baluwatar.

Ghimire was elected as Speaker on Thursday. CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Center, RSP, RPP, JSP, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and independent MPs Amresh Kumar Singh, Prabhu Shah and Yogendra Mandal voted in favor of making Ghimire the Speaker.

This is Ghimire’s first formal meeting with Prime Minister Prachanda after being elected Speaker.
