Speaker should listen to side & opposition: Gyanendra Shahi

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party MP Gyanendra Shahi has said that the Speaker should listen to everyone.

He said that the speaker should listen not only to the government but also to the opposition.

In the House of Representatives on Thursday, he asked to vote for the Speaker’s candidate Devraj Ghimire of CPN-UML.

He said, ‘Let us not suffer such a scandal in the next parliament. If the speaker is in favor of the government, the opposition, who is silent, has a tendency to disobey no matter how good the proposal is. Don’t let this happen. We don’t expect that from the new speaker.’
