PM Prachanda directs to speed up the process of identifying body & hand it over to family
He also asked hospital officials to seek government assistance in identifying the bodies as soon as possible.
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ visited the Maharajganj teaching hospital and met with the families of the passengers killed in the Yeti Airlines plane crash in Pokhara last Sunday.
Today (Thursday) morning, the Prime Minister provided an update on the status of body identification and issued instructions to speed up the process, make the identification scientific, and hand it over to families as soon as possible.
He also asked hospital officials to seek government assistance in identifying the bodies as soon as possible.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Prachanda expressed his condolences to the family and stated that he had given instructions and provided the necessary assistance to expedite the body’s transfer.
There were 72 people including 11 foreign nationals and 3 children including 68 passengers and 4 crew members on the plane. There were 41 female passengers and 27 male passengers on board. There were five Indians, four Russians, two Koreans, and one each from Ireland, Argentina, Australia, and France.
