KATHMANDU: Inter Milan hammered rivals AC Milan 3-0 to clinch the Italian Super Cup (Supercoppa Italiana) on Wednesday.
Federico Dimarco, Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez scored one goal to give Inter a win. Federico scored in the 10th minute of the game, giving Inter an early lead.
Bosnian veteran forward Edin Dzeko netted the second goal for the Nerazzurri in the 21st minute and the first half ended 2-0.
Then, in the 77th minute of the game, Martinez scored to seal Inter’s victory.
Inter defeated Milan for the first time in the Italian Super Cup final.
For the seventh time, Inter has won the Italian Super Cup.
The Supercoppa Italiana, which started in 1988, is an annual football match played between the winners of the Serie A and the Coppa Italia in the previous season.
The most successful club, Juventus, have won the cup nine times.
