First decision of Minister of Agriculture: Declaring decade of Agricultural Product Promotion & Investment

KATHMANDU: The government will declare the ‘Agricultural Product Promotion and Investment Decade’ in order to boost agricultural production.
Jwala Kumari Sah, the newly appointed Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister, has decided to announce the decade after taking office today.
According to the ministry, the program will be carried out with the goal of increasing agricultural investment and production.
The Agricultural Investment Decade will last from the fiscal year 2080/081 to the fiscal year 2089/90. Minister Shah has also decided to pay for agricultural insurance online.
Farmers have been unable to receive compensation for a long time because agricultural insurance payments are paper-based.
Once the online process is launched, it is expected that compensation payments will be simple.
During the inauguration, Minister Shah spoke with the media about her commitment to working in favor of common farmers.
