Sobita Gautam is sure to become the deputy speaker

KATHMANDU: The RSP has confirmed that Sabita Gautam will be the RSP’s deputy speaker.

Following the RSP’s exclusion from the Ministry of Law, it has been confirmed that Gautam will be appointed Deputy Speaker.

Gautam, who won the direct election from Kathmandu Constituency 2, is the youngest woman to become a minister, and she is also the youngest deputy speaker.

‘As Sobita is a legal expert, we decided to give her the law ministry,’ said RSP leader Makalu Khabar. But she is not a member of our party; she is in line to become our party’s deputy speaker.’

The election of the Deputy Speaker will be held on Jan 23.
